


Rockhampton & District Motocross Club Inc is under the control of Motorcycling Queensland and therefore all riders must comply with the current General Competition Rules.
Riders and Members of Rockhampton & District Motocross Club must also abide by the Club Rules which are within the Constitution of the Club and the demands of the Incorporation Law.
Riders must be a Financial Member of the Rockhampton & District Motocross Club to make use of the facilities at the Six Mile.
Financial Year [top]
Financial Year of the Club's Management is from 1st November to 31st October and the Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in November. General Administration Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month commencing at 7:30pm. Members will be advised of the venue for each of these meetings.
Membership [top]
Membership of the Club is from 1st January to 31st December each year.
Family Membership [top]
Family Membership includes Parents and one or more Junior rider/s of the same immediate family. A Junior Member is one who is under the age of 18 years. In a Family Membership a parent of a Junior Rider has the right to one vote on his/her behalf in any debate or issue requiring a vote. Riders up to the age of 17 remain in the Family Membership category until they reach 18 years. They must then subscribe as a Senior Member.
Junior Single Member [top]
A Junior Single Member is a rider who is not included in a Family Membership but is under the age of 18 years. These riders have no rights to partake any issues requiring a vote.
Senior Membership [top]
Senior Membership is for Senior riders (over 18 years). Senior members have voting rights.They may hold Executive positions if they so desire. However, a Senior rider may also subscribe as a Family Member if they wish.
Renewal of Membership [top]
Any rider who has not renewed his/her Membership prior to 31st January (end of gratus period) is considered to be a NON Financial Member and shal not be permitted to ride the Track either at Practice or Club Day Meetings until all outstanding monies are paid.
Guardianship [top]
If a parent/s of a Junior Rider is not available, they MUST appoint a Guardian for thier child whilst the child is riding at the Track at ANY time. Parents must provide a fully completed and signed Guadianship Form to be handed to an Official on the day, before commencing to ride.These forms are available from Officials and must be signed by both the Parent and the Guardian. These forms remain in force until the end of the current year for the nominated rider and those persons nominated as Guardian. A Guardian MUST be over the age of 18 years of age and be of a responsible nature and emotionally able to handle situations which may arise.
Flagging [top]
All riders nominating for a Club Day event must provide a flag person on the day. Nominations will not be accepted until a flag person is nominated. Racing will not commence until all flag positions are filled for practice and three rounds of racing. All flag personnel must wear closed in shoes and sign the Indemnity Form before entering into the track proper.
Should you, or your nominee, fail to take his/her place at the appropriate time, this will be considered a Breach of Rules. A penalty may be imposed, or you will be asked to leave the event.
Use of the Track [top]
Club members may only use the track in the presence of authorised personnel. This may be (1) a Steward (2) Clerk-of-the Course (3) An MQ Accredited Coach (4) An MQ Licenced Practice Supervisor and as well as a Qualified First Aid Officer.
Practice [top]
Practice days are set down for Club Members on Tueday and Thursday afternoons from 3:00pm and Sundays at either 10:00am or 1:30pm (depending on which Official will be in attendance). It is advisable to check with Officials before venturing out to the track. MQ Permits are permanently in place for these times unless the track is closed due to maintenance or Race Day preparations. Practice fee is $10.00 per rider plus $5.00 for each additional junior family member riding on the day. Normal practice procedure applies at all times.
Pre Paid Practice [top]
An amount of $100.00 may be paid as pre-paid Practice Levy. This will be accepted at any time but will expire on the 31st December of the current year. This Levy is for one rider only. Any second Junior Rider will pay $5.00 while a Senior Rider will pay $10.00.

Should you choose to pay the Levy during the year, there will be no refund for levies already paid previously in that year.
All riders must be a member of the Club to ride on the track. All licences must be sighted by an Official on duty on each occasion. To use the track at any other tme, an MQ Permit must be obtained.
Should a Senior Member be without their Motorcycling Queensland Licence, a Recreational Licence may be purchased for Practice (only) at a cost of $20.00.
A One Event Licence, for $44.00, may be purchased for a Race Meeting. These licences are effective for that event only. The cost of either Licence is additional to the appropriate Rider Levy/Nomination.
Riders can not be issued with a Recreational Licence unless they have their Log Book with them showing that a minimum requirement of five (5) hours coaching time has been completed within the previous twelve (12) months on the capacity bike they choose to ride.
The Track is always closed from Wednesday prior to a Club Day Meeting and ten (10) days prior to a major event.
Unsafe riding will not be tolerated. Junior and Senior Riders must not ride together and there shall be only one entry onto the track and only one exit from the track at all times.
Riding in the Pits must be no faster than average walking pace. Closed in shoes must be worn at all times in the Pits and on the Track. This rule applies to all persons entering the Pits. No bikes are to be ridden in the Spectator Area at any time.
There is to be no smoking or consumption of alcohol in the Pit Area or Spectator Areas. Alcohol may only be consumed within the fenced area of the Canteen. Consumption of alcohol beyond that area may incur an on-the-spot fine. We do not have a licence for take-away alcohol. Riders must not consume alcohol until all their events are completed.
Riders Briefing, held at the Canteen Area is smoke free.
Scoring is by MQ guidelines (refer to your Rider Manual). Progressive scores for Club Days will be made available to riders and supporters during the year. These will be displayed at the canteen at the following meeting.
Members must ride 60% of the years Club Days to be eligible for a trophy at the conclusion of the season.
Scores gained for any other function at our track during the year (e.g. CQ Titles/Qland Titles) will not be included in the end of year club scoring and do not constitute a portion of the 60% attendance.
Should a Member be competing elsewhere on the day of a Club Day, they shall not receive any score at the club level on that day. The practice of 'average scoring' will not apply.
Members are expected to be respectful towards all Officials and fellow Members at all times. This rule also applies to spectators visiting the Track. All Officials are volunteers and it is expected that they shall be treated with regard. Should anyone be un-cooperative or his/her attitude effects the running of the Club in any way, they will be asked to leave the Venue forthwith. Riders may also incur a fine for breach in rule.
Officials give their time freely for the love of the Sport and do this for the benefit of you, the riders. Please consider if you would be willing to undertake and Officials Course to gain Accreditation to undertake the job they are doing on your behalf.
Penalties shall be forced for any misconduct or breach of either Motorcycling Queensland or Rockhampton Motocross Club's Rules according to the severity of the act. A fine, suspension for varying periods, may apply.
Members must advise Club Officials of any change of address or other details in the Club's Register.
Uncollected prize money will be held over until the next Club Day only. If it is not collected, the amount will no longer be available but wil be deposited back into the Club's bank account.
Authority must be given to the Race Secretary to have money collected on your behalf before leaving the grounds. The Club will not accept responsibility for any prize money collected by other than the rightful receiver.
Riders are expected to abide by their nominations on the day. Riders must bot enter a second class without nominating to that class prior to the commencement of racing, or unless they advise a Steward and the Scoring Tower of their intentions to do so ten minutes before the race.
Riders must also advise the Steward and the Scoring Tower of any change of bike and/or number during the day. Riders other than those nominated in a Class, or who change bikes without notificaiton to the Steward/Tower will not be scored in that Class.
No contributions will be made with Club Funds towards injured riders.
